2009: A Year In Review

Here we go, start to finish.

I met Dean Whitney and began working for him at GGI Agency. I went from a UNH Class of 2009 Geography Major, to an Online Marketing Professional and Digital Content Producer. Was I qualified? Probably not, but I kicked ass at my job.

I spun my largest party of 1200 people at the Worcester DCU Arena. I convinced most of my DJ friends to use the same DJ software that I use, Serato Scratch Live. I can publicly say that I cannot DJ without my laptop anymore.

I bought my 2nd iPhone the day that I was let go from my first job. I waited 2 hours in line to find out that I didn’t have a job to return to. Three weeks later, I got a job at a little company called HubSpot. I am now on the services team here, solving problems all day. My new job forced me to move out of New Hampshire, and down to Boston which has been quite an experience.

Status Update

I haven’t put any text updates up on this site for a bit. I have been busy with work at HubSpot in Cambridge. I spend my days working with our customers to develop online brands and increase workable leads from their website. Online marketing is now in the mainstream, and there is no reason to hire a glamorous marketing agency to accomplish a successful online brand.

I have been keeping an updated status over on Twitter, while Facebook is slowly fading out of my life. Five years is enough for me, even though I now live just a few minutes away from where it was invented.

I will be posting new updates mixtapes here to the website while continuing with the Positivity Podcast Series.

Locked Out of Twitter

I was locked out of Twitter today. This makes me realize that I rely on it much more than I should. Working in the social media industry, I use this for both work and pleasure. Once this is fixed, I will take a short period of time away from Twitter, but first I need to get back on my account.

New Personal Project

Within the next 48 hours, I will be launching a new personal project. This ties in with the traction that I have received about the ‘Social media job hunt’. When I graduated college, I had planned to find a way to give back to society. I have thus far done nothing constructive for society, and this new website will be my first contribution.

I am still trying to iron out the launch. I prefer to have a ‘soft opening(thanks Oceans 13) to roll the site out, and fix the bugs along the way. At the same time, without a launch, this site may never take off.

It is almost done, I promise!
