A few of you may know that I was a geography major in college. I learned about maps, location relationship, weather, and trees.   I always had a dream of working at a mapping-software company, like MapQuest.  I have always been a supporter of location applications like Loopt, Whrrl, and Foursquare.

A small group of friends and I just launched www.4squarebadges.com this weekend. This application breaks down the FourSquare application, its badges, and feeds of people using it.  We have list breaking down each of the badges, a list of all swarm badges, and other tricks to winning at the game of Foursquare.

I am documenting the marketing aspects of this site over here on http://www.4squarebadges.com/testing-inbound-marketing-blog/.  You will see that our organic search has been very successful for many Foursquare badge terms.

I am frequently asked “Dave, what type of music is your favorite to spin” or ” Dave, what songs does a DJ keep on his iPod”?  Ten years ago, a DJ was the most popular kid on the block because he was the one with the super music collection, the go-to guy for mixtapes, and had new tunes first.

Now, every single DJ has the same music, that even the nightclub lists sound like top-40 radio stations. Since it is apparent that all DJ’s share their music, I have just about all of the music that I could ever need.

So what is on my iPod?

I prefer to listen to mixed content on my iPod, as I don’t have to rely on the shuffle feature to make sure that I have great music playing at all times. I prefer to just turn on a 60 minute mixtape, and let it play than playing through 20 songs in a playlist.

I scored a Skullebrities shirt in the mail today. Skullebrities brand is a t-shirt company that has a very interesting niche. Each of their shirts has a famous dead celebrity on it, with a skull face.  The shirt even came in a cool tombstone box that you can see in my pictures.
