I am still unsatisfied with the stability of Apple’s MobileMe service. Uncompleted promises like push notifications, iDisk syncing, and even email delivery have not been met. I was granted a 4 month extension on my contract, but I would rather just stick to my gmail account. I was in a web chat today with an Apple Support Technician, and I was informed that I cannot cancel my account and forward all future incoming mail from that address. If I ‘cease'(was the word he used) my account, then the address will disappear into Apple’s broken cloud. The company itself is too big for its own good and losing customers. I will pay the additional $100 because I made a mistake over a year ago when I signed up for the service, not because I prefer the service.
